email Setup in ActionStep

You can configure ActionStep to work well with any email accounts. Illustrated below are typical settings for using ActionStep with a Gmail account that has been configured with custom domain name for the fictitious law firm, Harris and Jackson. That firm uses the email address, clients@harrisjackson.com, as a special mailbox for receiving emails from clients.

These settings allow law firm users to receive emails in ActionStep and also have copies of emails sent to each ActionStep user's personal Gmail mailbox. To configure ActionStep email, there are Administrative email settings and User email settings.

Administrative email Settngs

To access Administrative email settings, go to: Admin / email / email Preferences.

User email Settings

To access User email settings, login as the user and go to: My email / My email Preferences
