Time Matters works well with real-time antivirus scanning software if certain folders are excluded in the antivirus software settings. PC-cillin by Trend Micro works better than most or all other PC antivirus software when set up correctly. Here we explain how to exclude Time Matters folders in Trend PC-cillin.
The performance of Time Matters can be seriously affected if a real-time virus scanning feature scans Time Matters files. By excluding the Time Matters program and data folders from real-time scanning, you maintain valuable protection without slowing down Time Matters.
In PC-cillin 2005 go to the System window and select the Real-time Scan tab. Click on Exception files...
Click on the Add Folder... button once for the Time Matters program folder, usually c:\tmw7\ and once for the Time Matters data folder, usually f:\tmw7\data\ (where f: is the drive shared by Time Matters users).
